Weit ab von dem negativen Image des Hacking als gezielter Sabotage oder gaunerischem Interventionismus ist die HacKaWay Zone der   transmediale.11 vielmehr der Ort, an dem komplexe Sachverhalte   technologischer und gesellschaftlicher Systeme kritisch und zugunsten  neuer, alternativer Wirklichkeiten de- und rekonstruiert werden. Dank   der Mechanismen 'hacktivistisch'-taktischer Kunstpraxen bringt die HacKaWay Zone prozessbasierte und performative Kunstwerke in einer Halle zusammen, die von der praktischen und interaktiven Partizipation ihrer Besucher lebt.
